Job summary

Key duties include Medicare billing accuracy, rostering, staff coordination and maintaining compliant administrative systems. The role requires hands‑on involvement across reception when needed and a commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience as Medical Practice Manager OR 3+ years as Senior Medical Receptionist in a general practice.
• Experience using Best Practice medical software.
• Strong Medicare bulk-billing knowledge and accuracy.
• Experience with appointment bookings, recalls and clinical administration.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage reception operations and coordinate staff.
• Independent, proactive and detail‑oriented with patient care focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure efficient appointment scheduling.
• Coordinate doctors, nurses and reception staff for smooth workflow.
• Maintain standards of safety, confidentiality and compliance.
• Support accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives。
• Lead staff rosters, recruitment, onboarding and training.
• Assist with Medicare bulk-billing, invoicing and financial reporting.
• Provide a welcoming, professional patient service at all times.
