Job summary

IUIH is seeking a Practice Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team across Moreton ATSICHS clinics, ensuring efficient delivery of primary health care services and strong patient outcomes.

You will oversee business planning, administration, financial management, and quality assurance, while engaging with communities and partnerships to build trust and loyalty. A focus on culturally safe care is essential.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person is essential.
• Current Criminal History Check.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
• Current Working with Children’s Check (Qld Blue Card).
• Current Disability Worker Screening Check (Qld Yellow Card).
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Qualification in Business, Management, Health, Nursing and/ or Allied Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for your multidisciplinary team in the delivery of efficient, effective and responsive health services.
• Oversee business planning, administration and financial management for the clinics.
• Monitor and improve service quality, safety and Medicare performance against indicators.
• Coordinate staff induction and ensure sites are aligned with partner organisations and cultural safety requirements.

Our model of care provides holistic health and wellbeing services to support our Community across their lifespan. We bring together primary care, allied health, dental, mental health and wellbeing, maternity and early childhood, disability services, specialist services, and aged care as one team focussed on clients’ individual needs and goals. About the role

As Practice Manager, your role is responsible for the overall management ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective comprehensive primary health care services in the Moreton ATSICHS clinics to clients, in line with the IUIH Model of Care. The scope of the position includes business planning, administration, financial management, leadership, and oversight of health service quality and safety to meet the key performance indicators and maximizing Medicare. Your day to day duties may include:

• Provide leadership for your multidisciplinary team in the delivery of efficient, effective and responsive health services.
• Contribute to community promotions and engagement strategies that include local marketing, sponsorship and alliances to build and maintain patient loyalty and return rates.
• Ensure the Clinic delivers quality treatment and meets agreed health Service Agreement commitments to clients.
• Ensure all new staff participate in a comprehensive program of induction, including orientation to sites, MATSICHs extended services, each of the partner organisations, and to urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, culture and communities.
• Work closely with the MATSICHS Operations Manager to review, monitor and improve systems against agreed indicators (i.e. identify gaps in business processes and service delivery, and formulate responses to address these)

About you

To perform this role, it is essential that the incumbent is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991

• Current Criminal History Check.

• Current CPR Certificate.
