Job summary

Moreton ATSICHS is seeking a Medical Receptionist – MATSICHS to deliver high-standard customer service and efficient admin of client appointments, data, and claims processing.

The role supports the clinic team to improve patient numbers, attendance, and billing performance, with required checks including a Working with Children’s Card, CPR, and a valid QLD driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person is essential for this role.
• Criminal History Check required.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) required.
• Working with Children’s Check (Qld Blue Card) required.
• CPR Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to processes to achieve high booking and attendance rates, coordinating daily lists and confirming attendance with patients.
• Prepare for daily appointments by providing client files and materials to health professionals.
• Provide client services including allied health and specialist services, and process Medicare and WorkCover claims accurately.
• Reconcile claims against income and follow up on errors or discrepancies.

About the role

As Medical Receptionist – MATSICHS, your role is responsible for provision of a high standard of customer service, effective and efficient administration of client appointments, client data and client claims processing; plus, the provision of general administrative support to the Clinic Team. The position will actively contribute to the achievement of the Clinics business objectives, including increased practice patient numbers, attendance rates and billings.

Day to day duties

• Adhere to practices to achieve high booking and attendance rates, including checking time requirements for each appointment, coordinating daily lists, ringing patients to confirm attendance, managing changes and follow up appointments, monitoring and managing patient flow /wait times within the day.
• Prepare for daily appointments by providing the client files and relevant materials available to clinic health professionals and visiting health professionals.
• Provision of client services to all clients to the clinic including allied health and specialist health services, i.e. General, Family and Child Health, Podiatry, Optometry PIP, Medicare Claims and Work-cover claims are processed in accurate and timely fashion.
• Claims are reconciled against received income and errors/discrepancies followed up.
