Job summary

Moreton ATSICHS is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee delivery of primary health care services across its clinics in the Brisbane area. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, manage business planning, administration and financials, and drive quality and safety to meet KPIs and Medicare objectives.

You will work closely with the MATSICHS Operations Manager and partner organisations to induct staff, review systems, and promote community engagement and culturally safe care.

Qualifications

• Leadership of multidisciplinary team delivering primary health care.
• Oversee business planning, administration and financial management.
• Ensure health service quality and safety to meet KPIs and Medicare.
• Induction for new staff and orientation to sites, MATSICHS extended services, and partner organisations.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to review systems against indicators.

About the role

As Practice Manager, your role is responsible for the overall management ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective comprehensive primary health care services in the Moreton ATSICHS clinics to clients, in line with the IUIH Model of Care. The scope of the position includes business planning, administration, financial management, leadership, and oversight of health service quality and safety to meet the key performance indicators and maximizing Medicare.

Your day to day duties may include:

• Provide leadership for your multidisciplinary team in the delivery of efficient, effective and responsive health services.
• Contribute to community promotions and engagement strategies that include local marketing, sponsorship and alliances to build and maintain patient loyalty and return rates.
• Ensure the Clinic delivers quality treatment and meets agreed health Service Agreement commitments to clients.
• Ensure all new staff participate in a comprehensive program of induction, including orientation to sites, MATSICHs extended services, each of the partner organisations, and to urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, culture and communities.
• Work closely with the MATSICHS Operations Manager to review, monitor and improve systems against agreed indicators (i.e. identify gaps in business processes and service delivery, and formulate responses to address these)

• Current Criminal History Check.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
• Current Working with Children’s Check (Qld Blue Card).
• Current Disability Worker Screening Check (Qld Yellow Card).
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Qualification in Business, Management, Health, Nursing and/ or Allied Health.
