Job summary

A private medical clinic in Melbourne's affluent south-east seeks a dedicated Practice Manager to oversee daily operations for 5 doctors and allied health staff. The role coordinates front office workflow, billing compliance, and policy updates in line with AGPAL standards.

The successful candidate will lead non-clinical staff, foster GP and allied health relationships, and ensure smooth clinic performance across multimodal services.

Qualifications

• Office management experience in a mid-scale practice (up to 4 GPs).
• Proficient in MBS, Medicare incentives, DVA, Workcover and private billing.
• Knowledge of Best Practice and Nookal software.
• Registered nursing background desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front office workflow and receptionist scheduling.
• Monitor and adjust Medicare/DVA/workcover/billing processes and balance sheet.
• Update and implement practice policies to meet AGPAL standards.
• Coordinate staff training and meetings with GPs and allied health staff.
• Manage supplies and reception duties as needed.
• Handle patient and staff complaints with escalation as required.
• Liaise with PHN networks on legislation and guidelines.
