Job summary

Amtan Medical Centre on the Gold Coast is seeking a dedicated Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a busy GP clinic. You will lead administrative staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive efficiency to support clinicians and patient care.

This full-time role requires at least 2 years' experience in practice management, strong financial acumen, and proven ability to improve outcomes. Familiarity with Medicare, Workcover and private billing, plus Best Practice software, is

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a practice manager in a busy GP mixed billing practice.
• Strong understanding of medical practice operations, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in using best practice management software, Hot Doc and other relevant technologies.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong analytical and financial management skills.
• Proven track record of improving practice efficiency and patient satisfaction.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow medical regulations and protocols.

Remuneration is under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award based on experience and above award for the right candidate.

At least 2 years’ experience as a Practice Manager (Required).

Experience with Best Practice software (Required).

Medicare, Workcover and private billings (Required).

Experience with Cubiko & Cliniko (Highly desirable).

Work authorisation for Australia (Required).

Advanced administrative skills (including faxing, scanning, filing, database management) and outstanding customer service and phone etiquette.

Clear and concise interpersonal/social communication skills and writing ability.

A customer/patient-focused, friendly, and welcoming manner – treating the patients of the practice with the highest degree of respect.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team environment.

Exemplary standard of personal integrity.

Reliability and ability to follow instructions.
