Job summary

TRINITY MEDICAL GROUP PTY LTD – Geelong, VIC – is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead daily operations across our medical practices. The role supports doctors, nurses and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a growing Geelong region group.

The successful candidate will oversee staff rostering, governance, billing (Medicare, private), and QA initiatives, while driving efficient workflows and staff development in a multi-site setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a general practice or healthcare organisation.
• Strong understanding of Medicare and accreditation requirements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage staff professionally and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing responsibilities.
• Proficiency with practice-management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the medical practices.
• Lead, support and supervise reception, nursing and administrative staff.
• Coordinate staff recruitment, induction, training, and rostering.
• Maintain compliance with RACGP Standards and accreditation requirements.
• Oversee Medicare billing, WorkCover, TAC and private billing processes.
• Monitor accounts, payroll information, budgets and operational expenses.
• Develop and maintain practice policies, procedures and staff communication systems.
• Manage patient feedback, complaints and service-improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate doctors’ provider numbers, registrations and onboarding.
• Support GP registrars, supervisors and training-program requirements.
• Liaise with pathology providers, allied health professionals, suppliers and external organisations.
• Promote efficient workflows, teamwork and continuous quality improvement across the practices.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in managing a general practice or healthcare organisation.
• Strong understanding of medical practice operations, Medicare and accreditation requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to manage staff professionally and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing responsibilities.
• Confidence using practice‑management and office software.
• Ability to work independently and across multiple practice locations when required.

Experience with *

• Best Practice software, RACGP accreditation, payroll, HR management, WorkCover and TAC billing*
• will be highly regarded.
