Job summary

Myhealth Potts Point is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and lead the clinic team, ensuring a smooth, quality patient experience. This is a full-time, 12-month contract with a view to extend, offering ownership of the practice and strong collaboration with doctors and staff.

You will build relationships within a close-knit team, drive operational excellence, and champion patient-centred care in a GP setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in GP medical reception or practice management.
• Ability to lead and perform senior administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billings preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lead doctors to ensure smooth operational workflows.
• Oversee day-to-day practice operations with focus on quality care.
• Facilitate inductions and in-house training for new staff.
• Manage diary scheduling with Clinical Team, including waitlist and appointment coordination.
• Provide solution-focused management to clinic operations and doctor queries.
• Lead a team with hands-on approach to problem-solving and patient care.

About The Role

As the Practice Manager at Myhealth Potts Point, you'll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations, leading your team and ensuring the clinic runs smoothly while delivering a great patient experience. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, 12-month contract with a view to extend, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the practice, build strong relationships with doctors and your team, and make a positive impact in a smaller, close-knit clinic environment.

A Day In The Life

• Collaborating with lead doctors to ensure smooth operational workflows
• Overseeing the day-to-day practice operations with a focus on quality care
• Facilitating inductions and in-house training sessions for new staff
• Managing the diary scheduling system with the Clinical Team, including waitlist management and patient appointment coordination
• Providing solution-focused management to clinic operations and doctor queries
• Leading a team with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and patient care

What we're looking for:

• Experience in GP medical reception or practice management
• Confident in taking on leadership and senior administrative roles
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in managing nursing and administration staff is preferred but not essential
• Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billings preferred
• Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills
• A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for enhancing patient experiences and practice operations
