Job summary

Myhealth is seeking a warm, professional Medical Receptionist for our Burwood practice on a permanent part-time basis, three days per week. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing check-ins, bookings, and records to keep the practice running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of reception experience, exposure to medical billing, and excellent communication. Join a supportive team with ongoing training and partner discounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of reception experience (medical preferred).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billings preferred.
• Strong multitasking abilities and prioritisation of workflow.
• Positive, can-do attitude and a drive to make a meaningful impact on our patients and practice.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and efficiently managing patient check-ins and registration.
• Overseeing and maintaining diary scheduling in collaboration with the Clinical Team (waitlist management, booking new clients and rescheduling).
• Answering patient queries via phone and email.
• Organising and maintaining patient records, ensuring confidentiality.
• Handling various ad-hoc reception tasks to support the smooth running of the practice.

About the role

We're seeking a warm, professional, and highly organised Medical Receptionist to join our busy Myhealth general practice in Burwood on a permanent part-time basis, working three days per week. With roster availability between 8am and 10pm, Monday to Friday, your regular shifts will most likely fall on Monday to Wednesday, either 9am-6:30pm or 3:30pm-10pm. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while keeping the practice running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, connecting with people, and being part of a busy general practice team.
