Job summary

Beyond Electrical Engineering, Brisbane, is seeking a Grid Connections Engineer to drive renewable energy projects through feasibility, GPS development, and compliance activities. You will work from site in Australia, contributing to the lifecycle from studies to commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in power system analysis, hands-on tool experience with PSCAD/PSS/E/DIgSILENT, and Python for automation.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in power system analysis and renewable grid connections in Australia.
Proven track record leading projects from application through commissioning.
Knowledge of PSCAD, PSS/E or DIgSILENT.
Proficiency in Python for automation of simulation tools.
Knowledge of inverter-based and grid-forming technologies.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Must have full work rights in Australia.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Knowledge of NER and/or WEM Rules.

Responsibilities

Grid connection applications, feasibility studies and compliance modelling per AEMO/NSP.
Develop GPS, R0–R2, DMAT, benchmarking studies to ensure NER compliance.
Oversee commissioning, testing and validation of grid assets.
Engage with AEMO, NSPs and partners; mentor junior engineers and ensure technical quality.
