Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced power systems engineer to join a global team of electricity experts in Melbourne or Sydney. The role focuses on generation, transmission and distribution projects, delivering technically robust studies and client-ready deliverables.

You will work with PSCAD and PSS/E modelling, apply your knowledge of power quality and protection, and lead technical engagements while developing your career in a growing international consultancy.

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years’ experience in power system analysis in generation.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Experience with PSS/E and PSCAD; Python scripting preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Capable of leading client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct grid connection studies for renewable projects.
• Model with PSCAD and PSS/E per standards.
• Develop technical deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
• Act as technical lead for Power Systems consulting.
• Collaborate with global teams.
