Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Power System Engineer to join its Power Networks team in Australia. You will deliver grid connection studies, regulatory submissions and modelling across NEM and WEM projects, guiding stakeholders and coordinating with teams to ensure compliant, timely outcomes.

You will work across wind, solar and BESS projects while expanding expertise in power system studies, grid codes, and regulatory interfaces, with opportunities for mentoring and career development in a hybrid

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in power systems, transmission and distribution, renewables, or utilities.
Understanding of power system studies, grid connections, and modelling.
Exposure to NEM/WEM or electricity market environments.
Experience with PSCAD, PSS/E, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory preferred.
Scripting or automation skills (Python) can be beneficial.
Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support grid connection activities from feasibility to commissioning.
Prepare and manage connection enquiries and regulatory submissions.
Contribute to power system studies and grid modelling using PSCAD, PSS/E or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
Support GPS compliance, testing, and reporting for connected plants.
Produce high-quality technical documentation and regulatory correspondence.
Collaborate with internal teams to plan grid programmes and manage risks.
Engage with regulators and NSPs to drive positive stakeholder outcomes.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge.
