Job summary

atWork Australia is seeking a BI Analyst to support growing reporting and analytics needs. Reporting to the Manager, BI and Finance, you will help migrate assets from SQL Server to Databricks, design robust data models, and develop Power BI dashboards while improving usability and governance.

You will write SQL, build DAX measures, work with stakeholders to capture requirements, and drive continuous improvement across reporting and data management in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks in a reporting or analytics environment.
• Strong Power BI development experience including dashboards, data models and DAX.
• Solid SQL skills in SQL Server environments.
• Experience designing and optimising data models for reporting and analytics.
• Strong understanding of BI governance and reporting standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the migration of reporting and data assets from SQL Server to Databricks.
• Design and implement robust data models aligned with BI best practices.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Refactor existing reports to improve usability, performance and governance.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform and validate data.
• Build DAX measures and semantic models to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture reporting requirements and deliver insights.
• Support continuous improvement across reporting, analytics and data management.
