Job summary

Ability to Achieve is seeking a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to support individuals with complex behaviours in Mortdale/Revesby, NSW. This full-time, permanent role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting difference within a multidisciplinary team.

You will conduct assessments, design personalised PBS plans, train families and carers, and ensure compliance with NDIS reporting requirements while maintaining accurate records and contributing to service improvement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or a related discipline
• Graduate or entry-level Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (provisional registration welcome)
• Solid understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and contemporary best practices
• Knowledge of restrictive practices and relevant reporting requirements under the NDIS

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments to identify triggers and underlying functions of behaviours of concern
• Design and implement individualised Positive Behaviour Support Plans to foster skill development and promote self-regulation
• Provide training and coaching to families, carers, and support staff to ensure consistency and success in implementing strategies
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic, person-centred approach
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in line with organisational and NDIS requirements
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of behaviour support practices within the organisation

About the Role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Ability to Achieve, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with complex behaviours and diverse needs. About You
