Ability Action Australia is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to support NDIS participants across Melbourne and surrounding areas. You will develop and deliver evidence-based support plans within a multidisciplinary team, champion reducing restrictive practices, and help participants achieve meaningful goals.
You will read and create behaviour support plans, write reports, and work flexibly across community settings, clinics, and home visits.
We are a national therapy services provider. Every day and in many ways, we are here to help NDIS participants – children, adolescents and adults (0-65 years) – get more out of life today! Help us help others to improve their access, development, independence, and overall health and wellbeing, and function.
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing support to participants, carers and families in the following ways.
And, because we like to keep it real:
This is NOT a stepping stone to becoming a psychologist.
It’s a meaningful, legitimate, highly skilled career all on its own.
You’ll thrive with us if you:
You are welcome here. Our fast‑growing team of more than 4,000 people around Australia represent a huge array of life experiences, skills and ways of thinking. We value all these differences.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, proudly welcoming people with disability including mental health conditions, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people from the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, carers and Indigenous Australians to our team.
We are happy to adjust our recruitment process to support accessibility needs.
