Job summary

YMCA Aquatic and Events Services Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a casual Pool Lifeguard and Pool Assistant to support patrons and maintain safety around the water. You will assist with supervision, incident response, and basic pool maintenance as part of a dynamic team.

Applicants must hold a Lifeguard certificate, WWCC/Police checks, and current First Aid & CPR. Interviews may commence before the closing date.

Qualifications

• National Police and Working with Children Checks are required.
• Lifeguard Certificate is required.
• Provide First Aid and CPR are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and well being of staff, patrons, the facility and equipment
• Promote safety in the aquatic environment
• Ensure an exceptional level of supervision of the aquatic area is maintained at all times
• Recognise and action appropriately response to incidents or emergencies
• Able to provide support and communication to team members
• Effectively communicate with all levels of staff
• Able to provide possible resolutions to identified issues
• Perform pool maintenance & cleaning duties
• Complete administration duties as required
