Job summary

Belgravia Leisure Portland is seeking enthusiastic lifeguards for casual shifts at the Portland Leisure and Aquatic Centre. The role focuses on safe pool operations, engaging with members, and delivering outstanding customer service in a busy community facility.

Successful applicants will demonstrate strong communication, safety awareness and flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends, while upholding our child-safe policies and supporting a welcoming environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and safety awareness.
• Knowledge of OHS and public safety in a leisure facility.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certificates.
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Pool Operations Certificate is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations.
• Maintain safe and enjoyable conditions around pools.

The Role

We are currently looking for anexperienced, enthusiastic, reliable and friendly Lifeguards to join the team on acasualbasis. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safety around the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time and with a flair for working with children.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Skills & Attributes
