Job summary

Allianz Technology Sydney is seeking a Chapter Lead, Software Engineering for Policy Administration Systems. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering critical PAS platforms and driving operational excellence.

You will manage both permanent staff and contractors, collaborate with offshore and onshore partners, and influence stakeholders to prioritise work and optimise delivery across multiple locations. This role requires strong leadership in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior leadership within an Agile delivery model.
• Strong people leadership, talent development and change management skills.
• Experience leading technology teams for large-scale PAS in insurance/financial services.
• Understanding of enterprise platforms and legacy systems including mainframe AS/400, RPG, PL/1.
• Experience managing outsourced providers and offshore delivery with governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and business-technical influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing software engineering team.
• Provide line management across permanent staff and contractors in an Agile environment.
• Oversee delivery and ongoing support of Policy Administration Systems.
• Manage relationships with outsourced providers and technology vendors.
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritise work and allocate resources.
• Lead teams through organisational change and evolving delivery models.
• Champion agile practices across onshore and offshore teams.
