Job summary

Talent Corp in Melbourne, Burwood, is seeking an experienced Project Officer - PMO to support a major digital transformation program within a Victorian public sector organisation. You will provide project coordination, governance and administrative support to ensure successful delivery of complex technology projects.

You will work within the PMO to produce plans, reports and dashboards, maintain risk/issue logs, and coordinate meetings and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management methodologies and governance within complex projects.
• Ability to manage project delivery lifecycle and reporting.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence and Smartsheet for documentation and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver complex technology projects in the PMO.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules and dashboards.
• Maintain project registers including risks, issues and dependencies.
• Coordinate meetings, agendas and stakeholder communications.
• Document and track tasks using Jira, Confluence and Smartsheet across hybrid delivery environments.

We are seeking an experienced Project Officer - PMO to support a major digital transformation program within a critical Victorian public sector organisation.

Working within the Project Management Office (PMO), you will provide project coordination, reporting, governance and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of complex technology projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and the PMO in coordinating and delivering complex technology projects.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, dashboards and governance documentation.
• Maintain project registers, including risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and dependencies.
• Coordinate project meetings and workshops, including agendas, meeting minutes, action items and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain accurate project documentation using Jira, Confluence and Smartsheet, supporting Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.

Key Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in a Project Officer, Project Coordinator or PMO support role within complex project environments.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance processes and the project delivery lifecycle.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Smartsheet.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
