Job summary

Water Brothers Group is seeking hands-on field personnel with experience in water infrastructure, civil plumbing, and utility works to perform water service repairs, installation, and exposure of underground services across the Sydney metropolitan area.

Responsibilities include excavation, backfilling, use of plumbing equipment, and ensuring compliance with Sydney Water, WB Infrastructure, and WHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction, plumbing or water infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of underground services and safe excavation practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a field-based crew.
• Current driver's licence and Construction White Card.

Job description

This is a hands-on field role suited to people with experience in water infrastructure, civil plumbing, service connections, pipework, excavation or similar utility works. Depending on your experience, your work may include water service repairs and replacements, installation and replacement of water services and associated pipework, excavation and exposure of existing services, working around live water infrastructure and other underground utilities, meter and property service works, backfilling and preparation for reinstatement, use of small plant, hand tools and plumbing equipment, completing job documentation, photographs and field records, working within Sydney Water, WB Infrastructure and WHS requirements, and responding to planned and reactive water service works across Sydney.

Once you have completed the required training and have been assessed as competent to perform the role independently, you will be provided with a company vehicle for work use.

The vehicle will be equipped to support your day-to-day field duties across the Sydney metropolitan area.
