Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in water/wastewater treatment, Engineering, Plumbing, or related field required.
• Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously; strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel to regional and mining sites; current driver license essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on wastewater treatment plants and associated equipment
• Diagnose faults and have an understanding of pumps, blowers, valves, filters, pipework, dosing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning treatment systems
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
• Collaborate with the team to identify process improvements and optimise system performance
• Provide technical support and training to clients as required

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Water and Wastewater Technician to join our team based in Sydney, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our clients' critical water infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on wastewater treatment plants and associated equipment
• Diagnose faults and have an understanding of pumps, blowers, valves, filters, pipework, dosing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning treatment systems
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards
• Collaborate with the broader team to identify process improvements and optimise system performance
• Provide technical support and training to clients as required

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a water/ wastewater technician or in a similar role
