Job summary

Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Gold Coast, QLD, seeks an IT Platform Engineering Lead to take technical ownership of the platforms supporting its corporate operations and events. You will shape architecture, standards and lifecycle strategy, guiding infrastructure, network, cloud, identity and venue technology through a standards‑driven, resilient approach.

You will lead design authority, drive repeatable patterns, and mentor the IT team while delivering a forward‑looking

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing enterprise technology platforms.
• Ability to own decisions, standards and long‑term platform direction.
• Strong documentation, knowledge sharing and engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve architecture across infrastructure, network, cloud, identity and endpoint platforms.
• Act as technical design authority for infrastructure and platform changes.
• Establish standards, baselines and repeatable design patterns.
• Develop platform lifecycle strategies and forward‑looking technology roadmap.
• Lead infrastructure design and procurement decisions ensuring alignment with architectural direction.
• Drive platform resilience, availability, capacity and performance.
• Define backups, disaster recovery and HA plans.
• Embed cybersecurity principles into platform engineering.
