Job summary

The Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre is seeking an IT Platform Engineering Lead to own the platforms underpinning its operations and events. You will set architecture standards, lifecycle strategy and drive a modern, resilient technology environment across infrastructure, cloud and identity domains.

You will lead governance, mentoring, and engineering discipline, while aligning with the organisation’s strategic goals and security controls.

Qualifications

Experience designing and managing enterprise technology platforms.
Ability to own platform architecture, standards and lifecycle strategy.
Proven ability to document, mentor and drive engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Own architecture across infrastructure, network, cloud, identity and endpoint platforms.
Act as technical design authority for infrastructure and platform changes.
Establish standards, baselines and repeatable design patterns across environments.
Develop platform lifecycle strategies and roadmaps.
Lead design and procurement decisions ensuring alignment with standards.
Drive platform resilience, availability and performance.
Define backup and disaster recovery plans.
Embed cybersecurity principles into platform engineering.
Lead root cause analyses and drive improvements from incidents.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring across IT teams.
