Job summary

Salmon Earthmoving is seeking an experienced Articulated Haul Truck operator to join our Bowen Basin project team. The role involves hauling materials between excavated zones and stockpiles, while maintaining safe, efficient site operations.

You will work alongside a regional crew on a large mining project, performing pre-start checks and adhering to safety protocols. A current RI I certification and valid driver’s licence are required, with camp accommodation provided on roster.”

Qualifications

• Experience operating Articulated Haul Trucks on mine sites.
• RII certification including Standard 11 is essential.
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence required.

Responsibilities

About The Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Articulated Haul Truck to join our operations team on one of our major projects in the Bowen Basin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hauling and tipping materials between excavated, stockpiling and dump areas
• Work closely with other operators to maintain efficient production movement on site
• Complete pre-start inspections and report any mechanical faults or safety concerns
• Follow strict safety guidelines and ensure all tasks are completed to high safety standards
• Collaborate with the team to optimise efficiency and project outcomes

We anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:

• Demonstrated practical experience operating in a mine site environment
• RII Statement of Attainment for Articulated Haul Truck (essential) including current Standard 11
• Current & valid Driver’s Licence
• Strong understanding and reliability in adhering to site standards; safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.

The successful candidate must hold or be willing to obtain a Coal Board Medical Health Assessment
