Job summary

Salmon Earthmoving Holdings Pty Ltd in Stapylton, Queensland, seeks an experienced Service Coordinator/Planner to oversee maintenance for our civil and mining fleet, including on-road vehicles and trucks.

You will plan, schedule and optimise maintenance to maximise equipment availability, coordinate servicing, maintain records, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a heavy equipment environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical scheduling ability.
• Ideal candidate has planning/scheduling maintenance of vehicle fleets and/or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment condition, monitoring and analysis is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and optimise all maintenance activities to maximise equipment availability.

Salmon rents & supports a complete range ofCaterpillar & other heavy machinery used in mining & constructions sectors, providing high quality plant for short- & long-term hire throughout Australia.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Service Coordinator / Planner to join our support team based in our Stapylton office.

In this position you will manage our on road light vehicles and trucks along with servicing and planning requirements for our extensive civil and mining fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and optimise all maintenance activities to maximise equipment availability
• Coordinate servicing and component planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation, work orders, and preventive maintenance records, ensuring quality and compliance
• Monitoring and escalation of critical equipment issues and emerging risks
• Identifying opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency & fleet reliability
• Build strong relationships and work closely with internal and external stakeholders

About You:

This position would suit someone with strong mechanical aptitude, practical experience and the ability to schedule effectively.

Ideal for someone who has prior experience of planning/scheduling maintenance of vehicle fleets and/or heavy equipment.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment condition, monitoring and analysis
• Strong computer skills and experience using maintenance management systems
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
• A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
• Experience working on CAT equipment (highly desirable but not essential).
• Current & valid Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
