Job summary

Boral is seeking a dedicated Plant Operator for our Roseneath near Townsville Quarry to safely operate mobile and fixed plant equipment, ensuring peak performance and reliable production on site with a strong safety focus.

You will perform basic maintenance, participate in problem solving and continuous improvement, contribute to safety initiatives, and work Monday to Saturday as part of a collaborative team committed to safety, quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in mobile plant operation (Front End loader desirable but not essential).
• HR licence advantageous but not essential.
• Quarry experience highly regarded, but not essential.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work Monday to Saturday.

Boral has a permanent, full-time opportunity for a dedicated Plant Operator to become an integral part of our dynamic and dedicated team. You will undertake responsibility for ensuring the secure and proficient operation of our quarry's mobile and fixed plant equipment located at our Roseneath near Townsville Quarry.

Your day will involve:

• Safe operation of Dump Haul truck, Front-end loader and other quarry mobile plant as required


• Safe operation of the crushing plant


• Basic maintenance and plant housekeeping


• Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities


• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting

What are we looking for?

• Experience in mobile plant operation (Front End loader desirable but not essential)
