Job summary

Boral Limited on the Gold Coast is seeking a permanent Plant Operator based near West Burleigh to join our quarry team. You will be responsible for safe operation of quarry mobile plant and routine maintenance.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and continuous improvement, with Monday–Saturday availability and a competitive hourly rate with overtime and allowances. You will work with a supportive crew, participate in pre-start checks and toolbox talks, and contribute to delivering high quality

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavations and heavy machinery, preferably Sales Loader (CAT 980, 772 or KOM 405).
• Quarry experience highly regarded; other fixed plant experience considered.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate quarry mobile plant equipment (Sales Loader, Haul/Dump Truck, Excavator, Crusher, Front End Loader).
• Perform basic maintenance and keep the plant clean and tidy.
• Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in safety activities including pre-starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting.

Based at West Burleigh on Queensland's Gold Coast

We have an exciting, permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced Plant Operator to join our high performing Quarries business. You will be part of a team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our quarry equipment.

Your day will involve:

• Safe operation of quarry mobile plant equipment (Sales Loader, Haul/Dump Truck, Excavator, Crusher and Front End Loader)


• Basic maintenance and plant housekeeping


• Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities


• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting

What we are looking for:

• Experience in Excavation heavy machinery - Ideally Sales Loader (CAT 980, 772 or KOM 405)


• Quarry experience highly regarded, but other fixed plant operating experience will be considered


• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality


• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision


• Availability to work Monday to Saturday
