Job summary

Boral Narangba Quarry in Brisbane's north is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will operate mobile and fixed plant to keep the site running safely every shift and contribute to proactive maintenance.

Ideally you bring experience with mobile plant. A HR truck licence is handy though not essential, and quarry experience is a plus. You will work with others, follow safety routines and participate in pre-starts and toolbox talks.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile plant; front-end loader is a plus, we can teach you.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn quarry processes and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump haul truck, front-end loader and other quarry mobile plant safely.
• Run the crushing plant safely and efficiently.
• Carry out basic maintenance and keep plant/work area tidy.
• Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Participate in safety routines, pre-starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting.

We are looking for a Plant Operator to join our team at Narangba Quarry, north of Brisbane. This is a permanent, full-time role operating the mobile and fixed plant that keeps the site producing and doing it safely every shift. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in looking after your gear and want to learn the quarry trade properly, we would like to hear from you.

Your day will involve

• Operating our dump haul truck, front-end loader and other quarry mobile plant safely
• Running the crushing plant safely
• Basic maintenance and keeping your plant and work area in good order
• Getting involved in problem solving and finding better ways to do the job
• Taking part in our safety routines, including pre-starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting

What are we looking for

• Experience operating mobile plant (front-end loader is a plus, but we can teach you)
• An HR truck licence is handy, though not essential
• Quarry experience is well regarded, though not essential
• Self-motivated, with safety and quality front of mind
• Someone who works well in a team and can get on with the job with minimal supervision
• Available to work Monday to Saturday
