Job summary

Boral invites applications for a Plant Operator at the Dareton Quarry to operate front-end loader and other mobile plant safely, including haul trucks, excavators or dump trucks. The role focuses on reliable operation of fixed and mobile crushing plant and maintaining equipment.

You will contribute to safety, quality and continuous improvement, participate in pre-starts and toolbox talks, and work Monday to Saturday in a permanent, full-time position with mentoring from industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience in mobile plant operation
• Quarry experience highly regarded, but not essential
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision
• Availability to work Monday to Saturday

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Plant Operator to join our Dareton Quarry on a full time permanent basis. As our newest member, you will undertake responsibility for ensuring the secure and proficient operation of our quarry's mobile and fixed plant equipment.

Your day will involve

• Safe operation of front-end loader and other quarry mobile plant as required (Haul Truck, Excavator and/or Dump Truck)
• Safe operation of both fixed and mobile crushing plant
• Basic maintenance and plant housekeeping
• Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting

What are we looking for

• Experience in mobile plant operation (Sales Loader experience desirable)
• Quarry experience highly regarded, but not essential
