Job summary

Boral Quarries is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager for the Kingsholme/Ormeau operation. You will lead safety, production, and regulatory compliance while driving performance across the site with a strong focus on people and community relationships.

You will oversee planning, drill and blast, processing, cost control, and P&L management. This is a senior leadership role offering an incentive program and a Tool of Trade vehicle, with career development supported by industry leaders.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in quarrying, mining or extractive operations.
  • Demonstrated full P&L accountability and cost management.
  • Current Site Senior Executive (SSE) appointment or ability to obtain certification.
  • Unrestricted driver's licence.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce safety and environmental systems to achieve performance outcomes.
  • Manage daily operations to meet production, quality and cost objectives in line with budgets.
  • Collaborate with Sales to achieve revenue and customer service targets.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and development of employees and contractors.
  • Ensure site compliance with all statutory, licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead short and long-term planning for capital projects and site maintenance.
  • Own site financial performance and deliver sustainable business outcomes.

Job description

Due to an upcoming retirement, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and people-focused Quarry Manager to lead ourKingsholme(Ormeau) Quarry.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have full accountability for the safe,efficientand profitable operation of the site. You will oversee all aspects of quarry performance including production planning, drill and blast activities, processing, cost control, P&L management, regulatorycomplianceand customer experience.

Leading a high-performing team, you will drive a strong safety culture, operational excellence and continuous improvement while building meaningful relationships with employees, customers, regulators,stakeholdersand the local community.

Your day will involve:

  • Promoting and enforcing safety and environmental systems and protocols to achieve performance outcomes
  • Managing daily operations to deliver production,qualityand costobjectivesin line with budgets and forecasts
  • Working closely with the Sales team to achieve revenue and customer service objectives
  • Providing hands-on leadership and development of employees and contractors
  • Ensuring the siteoperatesin accordance withall statutory,licensingand regulatory requirements
  • Leading short and long-term planning for capital projects, quarrydevelopmentand maintenance activities
  • Taking ownership of site financial performance and delivering sustainable business outcomes

What are we looking for?

  • Proven leadership experience in quarrying,miningor extractive industry operations
  • Strong knowledge of hard rock quarrying,crushingand processing operations
  • Sound understanding of the Mining & Quarrying Safety & Health Act and Regulations
  • Demonstrated experience with full P&L accountability, budgetpreparationand cost management
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and driving operational improvement initiatives
  • Current Site Senior Executive (SSE) appointment or ability to obtain andmaintaincertification/practisingcertificate
  • Unrestricted driver'slicence
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to broader business objectives
