Job summary

Ertech is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our civil construction team for the Meridian Park Industrial Estate Development in Neerabup, Perth. You will operate excavators across subdivision works, working with drainage and civil crews to deliver underground infrastructure.

You will be responsible for safe operation, accurate digging to levels, and coordination with supervisors. A Construction White Card, current driver's licence, and Australian working rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators in civil construction.
• Experience with subdivision development projects.
• Current Driver’s License and Australian working rights.
• Construction White Card and relevant plant tickets.
• Ability to dig accurately to levels, grades and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and productively across subdivision works.
• Excavate trenches for stormwater, sewer and water services.
• Dig around existing and live underground services.
• Trim trenches to required levels and grades.
• Assist with pipe laying, pits, manholes and drainage structures.
• Backfill and perform general earthworks.
• Read and work from construction drawings and service plans.
• Coordinate with drainage, supervisors and other operators.
• Complete daily pre-starts and equipment checks.
• Maintain high safety, housekeeping and workmanship standards.

We’re looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our civil construction team involved in the subdivisional development, Meridian Park Industrial Estate Development in Neerabup, Perth.

• Monday to Friday, NOR
• Competitive hourly rates + penalties
• Long term work with an establish Australian civil contractor

About The Role

You’ll be operating excavators across a range of civil and subdivision works, working closely with the drainage and civil crews to deliver underground infrastructure and earthworks.

Your Day-to-day Work May Include

• Operating excavators safely and productively across subdivision works
• Excavating trenches for stormwater, sewer and water services
• Digging around existing and live underground services
• Trimming trenches and working to levels and grades
• Assisting with pipe laying, pits, manholes and drainage structures
• Backfilling and general earthworks
• Reading and working from construction drawings and service plans
• Working closely with Drainer, Drainer Offsider, Supervisors and other operators
• Completing daily pre-starts, equipment checks and site requirements
• Maintaining a high standard of safety, housekeeping and workmanship

About You

We’re looking for an experienced operator who knows what he is doing!

You’ll Ideally Have

• Proven experience operating excavators in civil construction
• Experience working on subdivision development projects
• Experience with drainage, sewer and water infrastructure
• The ability to dig accurately to levels, grades and specifications
• Experience working safely around underground services
• A strong understanding of site safety and civil construction practices
• Construction White Card
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Relevant plant tickets and competencies
• Full Australian working rights
