Job summary

Wild Plumbing in Bendigo is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our growing civil construction team. You will support site operations, performing trench excavation for plumbing and drainage works, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience operating excavators in civil or construction settings, and hold current construction-industry tickets. The role offers ongoing work across diverse projects and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating excavators within civil or construction environments.
• Knowledge of plumbing, drainage, and underground services preferred.
• Current construction industry tickets and licences (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and associated plant equipment safely and effectively
• Perform trench excavation for plumbing, drainage, and civil infrastructure works
• Carry out backfilling, compaction, and removal of spoil
• Load and unload machinery, materials, and equipment
• Complete deliveries and transport materials between sites
• Conduct routine maintenance and daily checks on plant and equipment
• Assist with general site duties as required
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Excavator Operator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled operator with proven experience in trench excavation and a sound understanding of plumbing, drainage, and civil construction works.

Working across a variety of projects, you will play a key role in supporting site operations and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and associated plant equipment safely and effectively
• Perform trench excavation for plumbing, drainage, and civil infrastructure works
• Carry out backfilling, compaction, and removal of spoil
• Load and unload machinery, materials, and equipment

Must have current:

• Current drivers licence (heavy vehicle licence preferred)
