Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a skilled Team Leader/Operator for our Resource Recovery site in Clayton, Victoria. This permanent, full-time role manages operations and mentors crew, with hands-on earthmoving duties and a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will operate heavy machinery, assist with load placement, and support the team to meet daily targets while delivering excellent customer service. Clayton location offers stable hours and growth opportunities within a leading waste management company.

Responsibilities

• Operate earthmoving equipment such as front end loader and skid steer in Clayton site.
• Assist drivers and public with correct load placement and safe procedures.
• Excavate and load dry waste to compact and cover waste.
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment following site procedures.
• Support general housekeeping and maintain a professional image.
• Deliver high quality customer service at all times.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a highly skilled Team leader with Operator experience to join our team at our Resource Recovery in Clayton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced heavy machinery operator with proven leadership skills who enjoys mentoring others and driving operational success in a vital environmental services role.

• Operating earthmoving equipment (Front End loader, material handler, skid steer and forklift licence)
• Assist drivers and the public with correct load placement
• Excavate and load dry waste (metal, wood, general rubbish and other material) to compact and cover waste
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment in line with procedures
• Assist with general housekeeping duties
• Maintain a professional image and always deliver high quality customer service

• Good mechanical aptitude and committed to safety
