Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a hands-on Recycling Operator for our materials recycling facility in Morningside, QLD. The role operates on a 5-day roster with weekend work and 7 AM starts, including forklift operation and general labour tasks. The environment emphasises safety and efficiency in material handling.

You will move materials, monitor flow, and perform inspections while adhering to site standards and safety policies. A pre-employment medical may be required.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence LF required.
• Safety-focused and hands-on.
• Experience in waste, recycling, mining or similar environments preferred.

The Opportunity

Join our team at our materials recycling facility in Morningside QLD as a recycling operator. This will be on 5 days roster per week including weekend work. 7AM Start.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate forklifts and recycling machinery, move materials safely and efficiently, and support the wider team with general labouring and manual handling tasks.

What You'll Do

• Operate forklifts and recycling machinery
• Safely load, move and manage materials
• Monitor material flow to support efficient processing
• Complete equipment inspections and report any issues
• Perform general labouring and manual handling duties
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and site standards

About You

• Current Forklift Licence (LF)
• Reliable, safety-focused and willing to get hands-on
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Experience in waste, recycling, mining or a similar environment is highly regarded
• Comfortable working around heavy machinery and high-risk equipment
• Willing to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
