Job summary

Symal is seeking a proactive Maintenance Coordinator to join our Assets & Logistics team in Avalon. You will keep the workshop running smoothly by coordinating plant and equipment servicing, scheduling maintenance and ensuring safety and compliance across our fleet.

This fast-paced role requires strong coordination, clear communication with workshops and site teams, attention to detail and proficient MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coordinating plant, fleet, equipment or asset maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule plant and equipment servicing, repairs and inspections
• Monitor pre-start information, OEM platforms and maintenance data to identify upcoming requirements
• Manage breakdowns, defects and repair requests, ensuring issues are followed up promptly
• Liaise with suppliers, workshop teams, site supervisors and project teams regarding equipment availability and repair timeframes
• Maintain accurate asset maintenance records, service histories, defect registers and plant documentation
• Process work orders and update internal maintenance and job tracking systems
• Coordinate the removal of faulty equipment from service and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Monitor warranty information, registrations, servicing requirements and compliance documentation
• Communicate breakdown and servicing updates to operations teams so they can effectively plan around equipment availability
• Ensure all maintenance activities are coordinated in accordance with HSEQ and company safety requirements
