Job summary

Northern Beaches Council in New South Wales is seeking a Plant Coordinator (Permanent, full-time 35 hours per week) to lead and manage plant, fleet and workshop operations at our Transport & Civil Infrastructure unit.

You will oversee servicing, maintenance, acquisition, disposal and replacement planning to ensure safe, reliable assets and reduced downtime through proactive maintenance while driving continuous improvement and value for money.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant, fleet or workshop operations.
• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management from acquisition to disposal.
• Ability to balance proactive maintenance with operational demand and safety considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a safety‑focused workplace culture and build strong relationships across Council.
• Oversee operation of major plant and workshops, including servicing, maintenance, acquisition, disposal and replacement planning.
• Drive continuous improvement, lifecycle cost oversight and budgets to deliver value for money.
