Job summary

DOBCEL invites applications for a Part-time Physical Education teaching role in Hamilton, Victoria. The successful candidate will deliver the PE curriculum to Prep to Grade 6, totalling 12 hours of face-to-face teaching across three days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

Applicants should hold VIT registration and Accreditation to teach Religious Education, with strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards. A collaborative, inclusive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education is required.

• Ability to engage and support diverse learners from Prep to Grade 6.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the PE Curriculum to students from Prep to Grade 6.

• Commit to Catholic education and student safety, wellbeing, and protection.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess and reflect on teaching.

About the Role

The position consists of 12 hours of face to face teaching, working across three days – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - delivering the PE Curriculum to students from Prep to Gr 6.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
• A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
