Job summary

St Joseph's School Coleraine in Victoria is seeking a Casual Relief Teacher to provide high quality learning continuity from Foundation to Year 6, delivering prepared lessons and adapting teaching as needed within a caring Catholic community.

Applicants must hold current VIT registration and a Bachelor of Education or equivalent, with adaptability across year levels, excellent communication skills and a commitment to child safety. This role supports our faith‑based ethos and inclusive approach.

Casual Relief Teacher – Position Overview

Casual Relief Teachers provide high quality learning continuity across Foundation to Year 6, bringing flexibility, strong classroom practice and a positive presence to our community.

What You’ll Do

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
• A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
