Job summary

Diocese invites applications for a 12-month fixed term Physical Education teaching role commencing Term 1, 2027. We seek passionate educators who value Catholic education, collaborative practice, and student wellbeing in inclusive learning communities.

The successful candidate will deliver the PE curriculum to a diverse student group, participate in professional learning, and contribute to a faith-based school culture. This is a rewarding role for growth.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or eligibility.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards.
• Experience delivering Physical Education to a diverse range of learners.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and community.

About the Role

We are seeking passionate educators who love Physical Education and are ready to contribute to a highly collaborative community of professionals.Our open-plan learning communities offer vibrant, inclusive, and relational communities of practice with strong leadership support. Child-centred and welcoming with strong family and community connections. Experienced and graduate teachers are welcome to apply.Open to the possibility of this being a part-time role.

• To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
• To provide students with a rich and engaging educational experience;
• Ensure the delivery of the Physical Education curriculum that reaches and engages students with a diverse range of educational abilities and backgrounds;

Key Selection Criteria -

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
• A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
