Job summary

Victorian Catholic Education Authority Limited is seeking a temporary PE teacher for Term 1, 2027 to deliver the PE Curriculum to Prep–Grade 6. The role covers 12 hours of face-to-face teaching across three days (Tue, Wed, Thu) in Hamilton, Victoria.

The successful candidate will hold VIT registration (or be eligible) and accreditation to teach Religious Education, with strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards, promoting a safe and inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration or eligibility.
• Willing to obtain Accreditation to teach Religious Education.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards.
• Proven ability to foster a safe, positive classroom environment and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the PE Curriculum to students from Prep to Grade 6.
• Provide a rich and engaging educational experience.

Commencing Term 1, 2027 until 25 June 2027

About the Role

The position consists of 12 hours of face to face teaching, working across three days – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – delivering the PE Curriculum to students from Prep to Gr 6.

Key Selection Criteria

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
• A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
