Job summary

Narrabeen Chempro Chemist is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Assistant ready to step into a Retail Manager role. You will lead the front-of-shop team, oversee stock, merchandising and customer service, and partner with the Pharmacist Manager to achieve store goals.

Ideal candidates bring strong retail/Pharmacy experience, proven leadership, excellent communication, and a passion for community healthcare. This role offers growth into leadership within Chempro Chemists network.

Qualifications

• Experience in a community pharmacy is desirable.
• Strong retail experience, preferably within a pharmacy environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong focus on customer service and creating positive customer experiences.
• Experience with Point of Sale systems; MINFOS experience is advantageous.
• An understanding of pharmacy loyalty programs and retail promotions.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership and responsibility.
• A genuine passion for community pharmacy, healthcare and helping customers.
• The ability to train and mentor team members while leading by example.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn, grow and contribute to the success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with general pharmacy enquiries.
• Supporting the dispensary with script management and workflow.
• Overseeing retail stock control, including ordering, replenishment and stock presentation.
• Managing merchandising and ensuring the retail area is well presented and commercially focused.
• Leading, motivating and supporting the pharmacy team.
• Training, coaching and mentoring team members to help them reach their potential.
• Assisting with rostering and day-to-day team coordination.
• Ensuring team members follow Chempro policies, procedures and operational standards.
• Monitoring and supporting loyalty programs and promotional activities.
• Completing administrative duties and assisting with the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
• Identifying opportunities to improve sales, customer service and the overall retail experience.
• Working closely with the Pharmacist Manager and pharmacy team to achieve store goals.

About the Role
