Job summary

Veterinary Referral Hospital Dandenong is seeking a Client Services Representative for a part-time 28hrs/week maternity leave contract starting January 2027. You will be the first contact for clients, managing a multi-line switchboard, handling inquiries, and coordinating appointments, while providing clear information on services and policies.

Evening and weekend availability is required to support our busy practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in client service (veterinary or healthcare preferred).
• Ability to manage high call volumes and a multi-line switchboard.
• Remain calm and professional in urgent situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for clients in person and by phone.
• Manage a multi-line switchboard and high call volumes efficiently.
• Triage emergency enquiries and escalate when required.
• Coordinate appointments and client communications.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Provide clear information on services, pricing and policies.
• Liaise with veterinary staff to support patient care.
• Process payments and handle basic financial transactions.
• Keep reception welcoming and assist with admin tasks.
