GPA Engineering in Perth is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in mining, minerals processing and industrial projects. You will lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and build client partnerships while shaping the growth of the Perth team.

Qualifications

• Mechanical design experience within a consulting, EPCM, or project delivery environment.
• Strong technical and project leadership capability.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
• Knowledge of equipment specification, procurement, and vendor management.
• Site experience across consulting, contractor, or owner-side roles.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience delivering greenfield and/or brownfield mining projects.
• Sound knowledge of relevant Australian standards and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and delivery from concept to commissioning for mining projects.
• Develop engineering solutions for mining plants while meeting standards and Safety in Design.
• Prepare and review specifications, scopes of work, calculations, and drawings.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support proposal development and client engagement to grow the business.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Mentor engineers and support team capability and recruitment.
• Contribute to growth and leadership of GPA's Perth Mechanical team.
