Job summary

Contract Resources is seeking an experienced Talent Lead to join the People & Culture team on a permanent full-time basis in Perth. You will lead and evolve talent acquisition across Australia, partnering with operational leaders to implement recruitment strategies and drive improvements across processes and candidate experiences.

This hands-on leadership role combines delivery with strategic initiatives, shaping recruitment processes, leveraging data and market insights, and supporting growth

Qualifications

  • 7+ years' experience in Talent Acquisition, Internal Recruitment or Workforce Planning in industrial, resources, energy, mining, construction or similar sectors.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or managing recruitment professionals.
  • Proven success developing and implementing recruitment strategies that support organisational growth.
  • Strong experience managing end-to-end recruitment across high-volume and specialist positions.
  • Experience driving process improvements, system enhancements and recruitment best practice initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, talent pooling and proactive sourcing methodologies.
  • Experience with ATS optimisation, recruitment reporting and HR technology improvements.
  • Ability to analyse recruitment data and translate insights into practical business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activities across a variety of technical, trade, professional and leadership positions throughout Australia.
  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business growth and workforce planning requirements.
  • Partner with leaders and hiring managers to provide expert recruitment advice and market insights.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across recruitment systems, processes and candidate experience.
  • Lead and mentor recruitment team members while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Drive sourcing strategies that proactively build talent pipelines for current and future workforce requirements.
  • Manage recruitment projects, campaigns and mobilisation activities to support major contracts, shutdowns and growth opportunities.
  • Analyse recruitment metrics and market trends to support data-driven decision making.
  • Champion employer branding initiatives to strengthen CR's position as an employer of choice.
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, advertising partners and talent providers.
  • Support organisational initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning and talent management activities.
  • Ensure recruitment practices remain compliant with relevant legislation, policies and industry best practice.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture stakeholders to support broader HR initiatives and business objectives.
  • Leverage ATS, recruitment technologies and automation opportunities to improve team efficiency and reporting capabilities.
