Mercure Perth is seeking a strategically minded Business Development Manager to lead our MICE and Group growth, secure high-value corporate events, and expand our banquet and lodging revenue. You will drive new business, build strong relationships with planners, and collaborate with sales leadership to maximize GOP.

• Proven track record in BDM or senior sales within hotels or venues.
• Experience in MICE and group sales and targeting corporate events.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Solid understanding of the Perth CBD corporate and conference scene.
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategy and market expansion for MICE and Groups.
• Source, negotiate, and secure high-value meetings and events.
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline with regular calls and site visits.
• Draft proposals and negotiate terms to maximize GOP.
• Collaborate with Director of Sales and Revenue Manager to optimize yield and pipeline CRM.
