Job summary

BlueScope Distribution in Perth is seeking an Account Manager to manage an established customer portfolio in the metropolitan area, build strong relationships and deliver steel and aluminium solutions. Previous steel experience isn’t essential; attitude and potential to grow are valued.

You will work within our Sales team, supported by an experienced manager focused on developing people and driving opportunities across diverse customers in manufacturing, mining and defence sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is beneficial.
• Ability to build trusted relationships over time.

Responsibilities

• Manage an established portfolio of customers in the Perth metropolitan area.
• Develop relationships and understand customer needs to provide steel and aluminium solutions.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and support new business growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high levels of customer service.
• Maintain accurate customer activity and opportunities in the CRM system.
• Develop account plans and sales strategies and negotiate where needed.
