Job summary

BlueCare, part of UnitingCare Queensland, is seeking a Personal Carer to deliver community-based in-home care in Yeppoon and surrounds. You will visit clients, assist with daily activities, and support independence with compassionate, person-centred care.

Role is permanent part time with attractive benefits, salary packaging, travel reimbursement, and staff discounts. Must have Cert III Aged Care and a valid licence. Join a trusted care provider dedicated to quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent required.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) required.
• Vehicle insurance/roadworthiness to use for work.
• Experience with smartphones/tablets/laptops is desirable.
• Willingness to undergo probity checks as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance.
• Assist clients with showering, hygiene, meals, cleaning, laundry.
• Support independence and quality of life in community settings.
• Travel to scheduled visits and accompany clients to appointments.
• Follow individualised care plans and document care provided.

About the role:

As a Personal Carer you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
