Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Personal Carer to provide in-home support to clients in the St George area. You will help with daily living tasks, mobility and social activities, traveling between visits to support client independence and quality of life.

The role requires a Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent, a current Australian driver’s licence, and a vehicle for work, with opportunities to work in a not-for-profit, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
• Essential qualification in aged care (Certificate III or equivalent).
• Ability to pass probity checks required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to clients in the community to support independence and quality of life.
• Spend time on the road completing scheduled visits and engaging one-on-one with clients at their homes.
• Assist with daily living activities: showering, personal hygiene, meal prep, house cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Provide care per individualised Care Plan and support social activities.
• Assist with transportation, shopping and appointments.

About the role

As a Personal Carer you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
