Job summary

Bankstown City Aged Care Limited in Georges Hall NSW is seeking compassionate Personal Care Workers to join our Georges Hall and Revesby teams on a casual basis. You will provide personal care and support residents with dignity.

Experience in aged care and a Certificate III in Ageing Support are preferred; you will work within clinical governance and uphold our values of compassion, respect and safety.

About the role

We are seeking compassionate and caring Personal Care Workers to join our Georges Hall and Revesby teams on a casual basis. Competency in medication administration (HLTHPS0007) desirable.

As a Personal Care Worker, you are responsible for working within the required standards of clinical governance and ensuring that residents are receiving a consistent excellent level of care in a safe and respectful environment.

The role is to deliver a homely and loving environment to our residents by providing care with compassion, respect, integrity and dignity. You will be responsible for providing assistance to resident, that meets their individual needs and supports them with their personal care. You are responsible for role modelling BCAC's values and the behaviours that create a high-performing, highly engaged team. This includes creating a positive and professional work environment for residents, families, and employees.

Skills you'll need to succeed

Relevant experience with Aged Care and a genuine desire to help others.

Certificate III in Ageing Support or equivalent (including Administer and Monitor Medication HLTHPS007).

Valid Australian work rights and/or Visa for overseas applicants.

An awareness of WH&S and manual handling procedures.

Competent verbal and written communication skills.

Quick learner with a positive attitude.

Able to provide a person-centred approach to care that is safe, of value to the resident and provides the ideal customer experience.
