Christian Community Services is seeking enthusiastic Personal Care Workers for Cardiff Heights Groves House, a caring aged care facility. Casual role with flexible hours and a supportive team environment offers meaningful work supporting elderly residents.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), complete HLTHPS007, and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork and a person-centred approach to care. Sponsorship is not available in Australia.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of HLTHPS007 unit to administer and monitor medication.
• Experience in an aged care environment and knowledge of the Aged Act and standards.
• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends.
• Police check cleared.
• Cleared in the Aged Care Banning Order register.
• Proof of work rights in Australia; sponsorship not available.
• Up-to-date immunizations (influenza and Covid-19).
• Willingness to undertake a psychometric assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Person-centred approach to care.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Our Cardiff Heights Aged Care Facility, Groves House, is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Personal Care Workers who demonstrate a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting the elderly. The successful candidates will join an established, dynamic, and supportive care team, delivering high-quality personal care. Responsibilities:

• Provide quality care according to the current Resident Care Plan to meet the individuals needs and enhance quality of life.

• Assist with personal care including showering, grooming, dressing and toileting.

• Support residents with mobility, transfers and daily living activities.

• Assist with meals, hydration and nutritional support.

• Accurately document care provided and report any changes in condition.

• Communicate effectively with Registered Nurses and the broader clinical team.

• Promote a positive and inclusive environment for residents and families.

About You:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the below:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.

• Completion of unit: Administer and Monitor Medication HLTHPS007, highly regarded.

• Demonstrated experience in an Aged Care environment and an understanding of the new Aged Act and Strengthened Standards.

• Flexibility to work across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons and nights, as well as weekends.

• Cleared Police Check.

• Be cleared in the Aged Care Banning Order register.

• MUST have proof of work rights in Australia. Sponsorship is not available.

• Up to date immunization including influenza and Covid 19.

• Willingness to undertake a psychometric skills assessment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to provide a person-centred approach to care that is safe, of value to the resident and provides the ideal customer experience.

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
